As a licensed real estate agent for 10+ years, I have seen the real estate market in many different stages and a couple different locations. When I received my license in 1999, I lived and worked in the Midland-Odessa area where I was an active part of the real estate community and earned the Rookie Realtor Award my first year. I later made the move to the Dallas area where I met my husband, Dustin. We lived in the Addison area for a year then 8 years ago we found McKinney! We love the small town feel, the great terrain as well as all our great friends and neighbors. We also chose this community as a great place to raise our daughters because of the numerous parks and outdoor activities for us to enjoy as a family, recognized school districts and great proximity to everything else the metroplex has to offer.
I am a full-time Realtor® serving Collin County and the surrounding areas. Our team works to meet the needs and goals of our buyers to find land, preowned homes, investment property or new construction. I work directly with sellers with our aggressive and successful marketing plan that doesn’t just list homes, but sells them.
I also firmly believe in keeping up-to-date with the latest information to best service my clients. I annually exceed the Texas real estate license mandatory continuing education requirements because I am learning to excel at customer service and real estate, not to just be licensed. I currently hold a Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) certifications.

As a native Texan I have always loved Texas and its rich history in independence. I grew up in the Abilene area and also lived in Stephenville for several years. Once Tina and I were married I joined her in the metroplex and am so thankful that we found McKinney and made it our home for us and our children. I am a licensed amateur radio operator and have several other hobbies that keep me busy besides spending time with my family.
As a Realtor® I am always thinking two steps ahead to help guide buyers and sellers through the ever changing real estate market. I have general knowledge of construction and home maintenance that allows me to offer suggestions on updating, flipping and/or repairs to ensure you get the most for your money and return on your home investment. With a background and interest in technology I am always helping our team to be on the cutting edge of technology and ensure that dealing with us is stress-free and efficient while ensuring that technology does not interfere with our great customer service.

As the Marr Team Marketing and Communications Specialist, Christie Thornton is involved in our community and brings years of customer service experience. Continually looking for ways to help provide the best real estate experience for our clients, she is a great asset to our team and clients. Christie is a newly licensed Realtor and along with her exceptional organization and communication skills, she will keep us in touch with the community and our clients through her efforts.
Christie was born and raised in Lewisville/Flower Mound and has lived in this area her entire life. Married to her husband, Jason, for 13 years they have 3 children. Christie is a former Property Tax Agent, a current member of the Community Association Institute (CAI) and enjoys home staging. She volunteers with her children’s school PTO and as her neighborhood social committee chairman.
